
The next surprise the porters had for us was a flat track from the Amadablam Lodge to Namche Bazaar. It was like a motorway (with no cars). On the way up we must have climbed/descended thousands of feet on the day we walked the other way (it was the day we visited the school/hospital/yeti skull). Now, in a matter of two or three hours, we were back in Namche.





A large group of German tourists had arrived in Namche 10 minutes ahead of us and had booked all the best spots on this roof with their towels.
